What is Peat Moss?

 

Baltic Peat Moss is a natural and unique material which remains the most important basic substance for use in growing media. Peat Moss is ideal for propagation and finish production of crops. It does not contain harmful microorganisms or weed seeds unlike poorly processed compost. It is ideal for planting fruits and vegetables that are acid loving such as strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes and revitalising garden lawns.

WHAT IS PERLITE?

 

Perlite is heat expanded for use as a hydroponic growing medium or root aeration for healthy plants. Being extremely lightweight, it is suitable for use in a variety of growing containers pots, trays, bottom fed auto watering systems.

Moisture & Nutrients retention

Combination of peat moss and perlite allows for water and nutrients retention yet keeping plant roots happy.

Great for quick seed raising or as mixes with other growing medium.

 

Sterile medium

Ideal for healthy plants and speeding up growth as it does not contain any harmful chemicals, weed seeds and other bad stuff. Perfect as a starting medium for young and vulnerable plants which are susceptible to the surrounding environment.

 

Acidic pH features

Slightly acidic, which is great for acid-loving plants, fruits and vegetables. Some examples are camellias, strawberries, blueberries, pieris, heathers, azaleas and tomatoes. If your garden soil is not acidic, add a bit of peat moss to make your acid-loving plants thrive and speed up growth.

 

Compaction prevention

Prevents compaction and stagnation which promotes useful soil

 

Soil conditioning

Coco Coir and perlite softens any soil or medium structure and improves the drainage
